Hi

What do you guys think about a Male fighter fish in the same tank as two gouramis?
Will he be ok with these fish?

I know guppies and other pretty fish will be attacked by him but will he attack gouramis?

Ive read mixed views on this one and just wondered what you guys had experianced personnally.

Thanks

I have never tried a betta with gourami but it is generally thought not to be a good idea, they may well fight. :/

You can succesfully keep bettas and gouramis together but they have to be watched in case things get nasty, my friend successfully kept them together ,he said they sort of ignored each other. Hope this helps a bit. :)

i myself kept a betta with a 3 spot guarami and a dwarf guarami... they are completely safe. they didnt fight at all, except for when i fed them; you see, the 3 spot guarami was a very hungry fellow :D . try it, it may vary within fish, but it worked 100% OK for me!

im sorry but in my exsperience bettas n gouramis dont mix................in my little sisters tank she got 1 female fighter n gouramis killed it in the night...................my other sisters tank her gouramis went mad with male fighter........always when light goes out

whenever i've seen bettas dumped in tanks with gouramis at various LFS, they've always got ragged tails, or being hounded around the tank by the gouramis. i would never mix them personally.
