Betta With 1 Inflamed Gill

my betta has one infamed gill but its not red hes acting normal but im not sure what to do or if i should even worrie. it looks like he maybe got it stuck and pulled up his gill somehow what should i do any ideas

water stats ?
as i no bad water can cause gill problems
or is there anything in the tank he could have caught himself on to do this?

thanks for suggestion i post in emergencies. i dont have any water problems thanks for asking but i did have a pant(branch of a plant) that was growing out of control and i cut it down and i keep getting in his way when he was swimming so i cut it dont to almost nothing hes acting normal eating fine no sings of being sick my other fish are acting fine too so i didnt know if i should worry. thanks for everyones impute and help
