Can one use 'Betta Water' (From Petco) as a RO/DI water source for saltwater tank top up?

On the Petco website it says that this water is processed by RO and has no additives.

Thanks!

In short, No. I think betta water is a scam and a rip off lols.

Buy yourself an RO unit and save yourself buying tap water

I agree. Top off with RO/DI water.

Thanks guys! The guy at Petco tried to sell that to me but I was suspicious.

Does RO water from Walmart work? I am just trying to have alternatives at hand, just in case. My LFS sells RO for about 50c/gallon or less.

If it truly is RO, then no reason it shouldn't work, regardless of the source.

You may wish to check it before you use it, however. Some LFS aren't good at changing the filters as often as they should, which can result in higher TDS, nitrate and phosphate than you would expect.

How big is your tank? I'm going marine soon so I've been reading up on the subject, and most RO/RODI units I looked at would easily pay for themselves in a year or two even on a relatively small tank.
