Betta Update

update on my betta with finrot.

he's eating this morning (i put the first dose of treatment in yesterday) and everything, but everywhere he swims he leaves a trail of whiteish slime and little bits of dead-looking fin.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE tell me this is normal!

I can't say I've ever noticed a slime when I've used it. Check the dosage is correct for your tank. I gave Duncan a slight underdose to be certain I didn't use too much. I did notice the little bits of fin, I think that's pretty normal. They'd most likely drop off anyway as they are dead tissue.

Keep up the meds as per the bottle ( but with a slight underdose which seems to work well in my experience ) and use a net to get out any bits of dead fin and waste during the 5 days of treatment. After the 5 days you do a water change, leave him for a day, then start the treatment again until the fin rot has gone completely.
