Betta Tank

Im not sure if I would be able to make one of them. they sound very confusing

they actually are very easy to assemble. id be happy to give you advice if you want. i have made quite a few of them in under 20 minutes.

Oh i will read it and get too it then lol... are they cheap to make?

yes they are :)

That size would be great for a betta-only tank, maybe also with some shrimp, snail, nice decor, a plant.

Well he seems very happy in the tank - and thats the main thing... Also he has a little apple snail as a mate, though when apple snails gets to big he will be put into my bigger main tropical tank :)

3g seems fine to me. The FAQ for this section says 1g is the absolute minimum, though I tend to hover more around 2-15g, depending on the fish and whether or not I kept them on their own, or in a community setup.

As long as the water is clean and you provide it with decorations and things for it to do and explore, you'll be fine. There are a great array of small filters and heaters designed for smaller tanks. With the right light fixture, you can even opt to plant the tank. It is very easy and can create a very lovely environment for a betta. IMO, just as good as a non-planted 5g.

He has a heater and filter thats works perfect in the small tank...

He is sat on the window sill getting naural light and the natural light cycle.

All live plants apart from one silk one lol... A litle boat that he can swim through and a gary the snail little thing for deco.

He seems very happy

Sounds great just make sure that the window sill doesn't receive a great amount of light, do you know which direction it faces? South facing is the worst and recieves the most light, a net curtain between the window and tank can help but it will still get very hot, just keep an eye on the thermometer, as we are in a heatwave at the mo in the UK.

I dont know which way it is facing lol sorry. I do keep my eye on the heater and turn it up or down when needed. There is a net curtain between tank and window. And he doesnt seem to be acting ill from the heat. Wow didnt relise we was going fthrough a heat wave at the moment. He must be happy in there though, I always wake up to a BIG bubble nest in the morning. Thats where he got his name from (Bubbles)
