Betta Tank Water Changes

For my first water change in my Betta tank I kept Orlando in and changed 50% of the water but he seemed really stressed so the last couple I've removed him from the tank and done a 100% change which was much quicker and less stressful for him. Is this ok?

Yes that's fine as long as you acclimatise him each time. The water quality will be a lot different from the container you put him in to the fresh water in the tank
