betta split his tail

i have one betta (blue) here at work and i just fed him as i was getting ready to leave. i realized his tail was split right down the middle i don't have my camera here, so no pics. he is swimming around, eating, no problems.

he is a veil, but now he looks like a double tail (really dinky finnage, but the tail is perfectly split ). it doesn't split all the way to the body, but close.

he has a plastic plant in his 1 gal tank, so i guess i should take that out (never had been a problem, but i guess that is the culprit)

my question is, with all my meds at home (except for de-chlorinator for water changes) what if anything should i bring to work with me tomorrow?

He will be all right. They will join back in a few days. Plastic plant always do that to betta if the area is small. You can put some Betta Fix remedy or water conditioner.

since nobody teach me how to attach my banner yet, I will keep like posting picture. LOL

Aquarium salt and Melafix/Bettafix. A little Stress Coat wouldn't hurt, either.

well, a little over a week later, blue's tail is almost all grown back!!! actually the rays are about 75% connected. i just used a little melafix and aquarium salt!!!
