Betta Sitting By Heater?

my betta seems to like to rest on the heater in the tank, why do you think he is doing that is his warter to cold? its around 28 at the moment.

also guy's can i turn his light off at night or shall i leave it on what would he prefer? thanx

it will be fine being turned off, as for sitting on the heater, does the tank have any resting points near the surface?

not realy i should have search before making this thread lol sory ha i just found a thread the same as this one and seems alot of bettas do this thank god i was worried he was cold lol ill have to buy him some better tank decor tomorrow lol thanx again lilfishie

They choose unusal places to sit.

My first betta used to sit out of the water on top of a broad leafed plant.

My Betta loves it on his heater, i was worried too but im not anymore now ive read other bettas do this too!
