can a betta splended live in a ph of 6 because i want to breed cockatoo apisto on the other side of the divider but to breed them the ph needs to be 6

Bettas live in blackwater in the wild, so they would live in acid conditions not sure if they could survive with the PH that low though.

i know they like slightly acidic water and some places i read said a min of 6ph but just though i would check on hear
