Betta Not! Following My Finger Help Please

hi guys my betta i have now owned for three days will not follow my finger but he will flare and follow the pen flaring at it how can i get him to follo so i can begin traing him

It takes more than three days for a fish to settle in and be comfortable with you.:3 try waiting a week or so and im sure he will start to follow your finger.

Give him time to settle in properly & get to know you approaching the tank to feed him, he'll soon learn once he's comfortable with his new home

It means that you have a big finger and he perceives it a potential predator or a threat rather than something that provides food.

My betta still won't follow my finger and I've had him for months. He does come when called and will swim to the top for a quick stroke of the fins though. Granted Narcissus is a bit of an oddball who thinks he's a cory catfish. Best of luck
