Good news, yes carry on with the tc to many fish keepers cut the med short and it all starts up again, sometimes they can stay on meds up to two weeks, even longer, good luck.

How do i know when he is better and doesnt need it anymore

How long has he been on the med now it is about 6 days, you will know, just don't want to cut the med short.
Like us when we take antibiotics we can feel well after a few days, but still have to carry on with them.

Just wanted to give an update on my little guy. He is doing great!!! His fins are already starting to grow back, no more buggies either!! He looks happy now. Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it.
