hi my betta is in a divided 60L and in the other side there is 7 neon tetras and a dwarf gourami. the betta keeps jumping into the other half of the tank since i added the tetras on saturday. Is there any way to stop this? his fins have been nipped on some of his visits to the other side should i treat him with something to avoid infection?
Thanks
Lloyd

I use "Stress coat" to heal my fishes fins and it works really nicely, takes a while to work though.

If your water quality is good and kept clean, his fins will grow back no probs.

You can put a pair of tights or netting ontop of your betta's section, will stop him getting out.

I had this problem in a divided betta tank. My solution was a trip to the local craft store.. picked up some "craft mesh" that many users use for dividers, and cut it to fit under the lid of my tank. The light still gets to my plants as I picked a white mesh, but it prevents the bettas from jumping out. I cut two small holes About 1" by 1/2" at the front of each half of the tank to feed through, and a hole at the back for my filter. Haven't had an issue with Divder jumping since.!.

hi thanks, how are you supporting the mesh above the water? looks like a good setup
cheers,
Lloyd

its just resting on the innerlip of the tank, where my lid would sit. The lid sits on top of the mesh.
