Betta in a community tank

hi

can i put a male betta in my community tank??

which has 3 rosy barbs, 2 red platy, 6 neon tetras, 2 croy and one algae eating catfish.

I would suggest that you do not. Some bettas can be aggressive and actually eat small fish, such as your neons. Also, barbs can be fin nippers, which is not a good combo with the long fins bettas have.

Also, I think he'd hate the red platies.

I say definitely not. Who had the pics with the betta eating the neon? That was proof right there.
