Betta Help!

As you may have read my last post about my betta sitting on the bottom and only coming up for food and air, but now his stomach seems swollen and big, hes breathing is heavy and I have no idea what to do. The only medication I have on hand is Melafix. And if it counts I have almond leaves which I already put into the tank. Can anyone help?

bloaded belly could be constipation or worse.

What are you feeding him?
what tank size is he in?
water stats etc?
Are the scales porcupining?

I'm feeding him this pellet blend, hes in a 3gallon tank, and some of the scales around his face are falling off.

I am at a loss as to what causes scales to fall off. I would at the least double post. Open a thread for help in the emergency forum. If anyone here knows what to do they can answer too.

It doesn't sound good.
