Had Bruce for almost a week now. He seems to be doing just fine but I have been reading up on feeding and would like some advice please.
The community tank gets mostly flake and frozen bloodworm. I feed them in the day with the lights on for most of the fish but then again late at night when the quiet fish come out to play from hiding. We have been feeding the Betta on Hikari betta pellets, aquarium tropical flake and frozen bloodworm and Brine Shrimp but am unsure of the frequency and amount.
The pellets suggest feeding 2-4 3 times a day. I have also read online that you should feed them no more than 4 pellets a day? If mixing foods what is best in regards to how many pellets and how much flake etc etc?
Do you feed yours once a day? Twice a day? We have been doing somehting like 2 pellets in the morning and then maybe a sprinkle of one of two flakes or 2 or 3 little worms fed in with a pepette in the evening. He is eating everything and not leaving any but I don't want to introduce any health problems from over feeding.
I have also read that Bettas should be not fed one day a week to allow their digestion to work.
There is so much information out there I am unsure what is best in the long run. Just read something that says Betta wont touch pellets!
Thanks in Advance,
