Betta Babies?

Hey everyone.

I'm buying some Bettas from someone online
He's a really good guy.

The Bettas are all 4 months old and parents are HMPK n PK
Mustard Gas and other Yellow.

Thing is there 4 months old and only showing a tint of red to there fins

anyone know why this is?

Also any idea on tail type of above?

that betta is showing stress lines thats why there's no colour - when a betta is stressed they go grey and get those lines

have you got enough tanks to seperate male- individually and females in a group (large enough tank)


i expect they would all be pk tails as pk is the most dominant gene - also red could be in their line some where before - do you know the parent parentage

I haven't got them yet, There now 4 months old.
Even the males are the same colour as above

any idea what the one aboves tail type is?

would need a close up to see the amout of rays but i'm sure as already said most will be normal pk's due to that being the domniant gene

Should a PK have them lil fangs on end of tail tho?
Also how come she has red in her from a MG X Y breed?

i would say the pic is of a female cos a male would have developed his finnage by 4 months

because it could be in her genes red is a dominant colour and can come out if her grnadparents or great grand parents were red

thats why i asked if you know her full lineage

I asked
he doesn't know both parents were shop bought.

thats more than likely the reason then it's back in the lineage and just comming through

you want to see the bettas pics unstressed - also you would need to see pics of the males etc - dont just buy blind else you could end up with fish you dont really want

there isn't any of them unstressed sadly
I have seen the parents tho.
