Betta Attacks Human!

So I'm putting in new decorations in my 29 gallon tank, arms all the way in the water when WHAM
a super hard pinch hits me right next to my arm pit
I pull my arm out of the water and started grabbing and screaming at the fish STILL ATTACHED TO MY SKIN
she bit me so hard I was litterally bleeding
#129### since when do betta's attack humans
yes this really happened
true story
and it hurt!!!!

i had no idea a little betta could bite that hard
it scared the #105### outta me i thought a piranha made its way in there somehow lol

I used to stick my fingers in the tank and all the fish would have a wee bite of my finger, nothing serious, just a wee nip, they took food out of my hand too. Now I cannot get them to stop doing it. Its a real problem when doing a water change or doing any re-decor in the tank. They're all around my arms.

Hope your injury isn't too bad.

OMG what a shock! Never heard of anything like this before! Hopefully you gave her as much of a shock as she gave you and so she may think twice about having a bite at you again!

Bettas have such tiny mouths I can't imagine them biting hard enough to draw blood, especially as they don't have teeth. I hope you bit her back (only joking!).
