Betta A Got Furry Wooly Patch One Side

Leave him in the container tonight, then if you can get a breeding trap (either the net one or the plastic one, there only a couple of £) pop him in it and then treat the tank as you have done. Its very awkward to dose meds in smaller containers as you have to change the water daily and then re-dose the meds. We have used meds in 1 gallon containers, done a 75% water change daily and re-dosed at a reduced rate, but i would go for the breeding trap as its easier to control the amount of meds. Plus, you've started the treatment now so may as well finish the course just in case any of the others were going to get the fungus :good:

At least in the container he can get to the surface to breath.

so just put the container in the tank floating on the top with the tank water in?? medication not reapplied??

Yeh, for tonight leave him in the container and if you can get a trap for him tomorrow that would be better :good:

As for aquarium salt, you would have to seek advice as to whether your plec is salt tollerant.

well ive jus put him in the breeding net, and i hate to sya thing dont look good, he cant swim and hes just lying on his side!!
ive have just applied the 2nd dose of treatment!

i feel really cruel as its looks like hes suffering!
what can i do!

Hi

I think you are doing all you can. You've got him closer to the surface and you're treating him  All i can suggest is have the breeding net where it gets a little flow and keep the lights off.

Unfortunately, only you can decide if he is suffering too much. I would also inform the LFS as it sounds like it was already infected or very highly stressed due to shipping. I have had a similar experience recently with a pair Clownfish for my marine tank, one died after 6 days and the other after 8.
