Best Uk Site For Custom Made Tanks

Can anyone suggest a reputable retailer who can build me a tank to my requirements and deliver?

It would also be good if they weren't too expensive

I've never used them either, but have only ever heard good things about them. When I was looking for an eight-footer, I would've bought my tank from them if I hadn't come across a bargain on ebay. They're relatively cheap when it comes to bigger tanks - what size are you looking for?

I am in the same position, I have found some on line but you can never be sure of the testimonials. My biggest fear with most of these tank manufacturers I have found is they only give 12 months guarantee on the tank and that is seals only.

I have an ND Aquatics tank, though as I only got it in January I can't say what it will be like in a few years. But so far I'm impressed with the tank and the stand.
The only downside I can think of is that I live outside their standard delivery area and had to pay a delivery supplement.
 
I had an off the shelf 125 litre; the plastic bracer bar came away from the back and the glass was bowing. I didn't want to risk repairing it myself, and besides, it was a good opportunity to get a bigger tank. The off the shelf tanks the volume I wanted were all to deep, and when on the stand would have been to tall for me to reach in properly. This was the main incentive for getting custom built - the new tank is just 18 inches deep. The bonus for me was that the new tank is made of 10mm glass unlike the 6mm glass in the old tank. And I could choose an opitwhite front panel for a small extra price.
 
 
Edit to add that the cost was pretty much the same as most of the off the shelf tanks of the same volume.

I have asked for a quote for a tank that measures 1165x460x365mm (LxHxW). Wharf Aquatics have quoted me £95 whilst ND have said £145. However ND will make a lid for the tank for only £57.
 
Think I might do a little more research into this.

For the size of your tank your looking built is them prices not a good price?just think if you bought a juwel or clearseal tank that size how much it would cost etc i would like a big take made again,would need to look and see if there is anyone over here in northern ireland.

I don't think it's a bad price but you never know what other companies may be able to offer which is why i always ask.

I've heard good things about prices from Poseidon's palace, but have no idea what the tanks are like.
