Best Stuff For Feeding Geophagus?

i currently have two geophagus (brasillines and megasema) had them for around a month now. anyway they do seem to be feeding but i never see my megasema come to the surface to feed as he feeds on the catfish sinkers which are very small. anyway i was just wondering if their are any special cichlid sinking pellets as when they grow i want to make sure they get the right amount of food. also i do often feed chopped prawn.

geo's mainly feed by sifting the substrate, so anything that sinks is good & you need to make sure that enough reaches the bottom of the tank

My Brasiliensis just feeds like any other fish but also scoops the substrate when he feels like it,hes the most avid feeder in there...my Threadfin (Hecklii) used to be the same before i got rid of him.
