Best Small Filter?

Ive just been given an aqua flow and an elite mini

Ive also got a new 40L tank

the aqua flow will probably have too much current, and im not sure if the mini will do the tank =[

why not make your own sponge filter. it is soooooo easy and you can chose a container for the build that will fit nicely in the space you are working with. if youd like instructions ive got them ready to go. ive helped quite a few folks make them and it will take you less than 15 minutes and cost practically nothing. biggest "expense" is the airpump but a very small (smallest you can find) will suffice. zero current either.
just a thought if the commercial ones are difficult to accommodate in the tank. also, home made sponge filters can hold more media than similarly sized commercial ones.
