Best Kind Of Tetra's

What is the best kind of tetras for my community tank. I would like to have a small shoal and for them to be lively and colourful

everyone has their own opinion, i guess cardinal tetra are the most colourful

I'm looking a Lemon tetra's. I already have Rummynose tetra's which are great.

Just something different from the 'norm'.

Like Carl said it depends on those stated. Not all Tetra's are suitable for community tanks but most are. Personal favourite of mine are Cardinals because of the beautiful colouring on them.

I had 14 Lemon Tetras in a 20gall tropical community Lots of males always showing off to each other, really pale in the shop but after 2 weeks of good water and some tetra colour flake they looked the mutts nuts, highly recommended

Wicked! I see some in a shop the other day, hoping to add them to my new tank when I get it along with my other community fish. Been reading up on them a bit, and they seem peaceful which is good.

Just hoping my LFS can get them! haha

My tank is a 130 litre and it has 5 danois, 4 corys, 1 otto, 1 balloon molly, 1 sword tail, 2 glowlight tetra, 2 guppies, 1 betta and a angel fish but it is quite small. I am also probably going to rehome the molly, swordtail and a threathin rainbow that i forgot to mention.

Why not just up the numbers of Glowlight tetras you have to 6

No i like the glowlights but i think i would rarther have a different breed

I love my bentosi tetras, theyre dead unusual and have developed gorgeous red/black/white colouring as theyve gotten older. Ive entered one of them in fish of the month if you want a better look?

yes these fish are the best. Mine would swim around my hand and nip me. I also like neons they are small and cheap they school well.
