The shrimp eggs in my refrigerator (deep freeze) is more than 36 years old and never before have I had such excellent hatcing percentage from them as now.... I feed up to 5 times from one setup and up to about 4 days after the innitial setup... (use about a teaspoon full at a time)
And, in addition to this, I'm hatching them in 14 year old seawater that's been standing outside in 500ml plastic bottles (in the sun & weather).... In the past, I managed one feeding 24 hours after putting them up and if I kept them up for longer than that... the water just fouled and developed a rotten odour.
Like good wine???... matures with age???.... I wonder if they could be kept indefinitely???
