Going to buy a filter next week,
It's for a 260L tank but over filtration welcome as it's a cichlid tank so it's going to be over stocked,
Up to £250, will be run with the fluval 305 I've got now

Suggest away!
Personal opinions welcome, no flaming each others choices :p

Eheim pro3 series are darn fine filters, bullet proof and need little maintenance.

I have a Pro 3 2180 with built in heater so less clutter in tank but a tad overbudget for you, cheapest I can find a 2080 is around £300.

You could pick up a 2075 for around £220 and these arefit for aquariums upto 600l

I was thinking of getting the fluval fx6, £225

What's people's views on this? Has awesome l/hr and comes loaded with media

Ahh but that would mean 4 more pipes in the tank as well as the 2 I have now, a heater and a power head... Over crammed :/

Powerhead?
Just with the two filters you will already have just over 15x. How much more circulation do you want?

Also what other piping do you have?

The power head may come down even tho it's a week old, as the fx6 has ample flow,
I've got a 305 that is rigged through the bottom of the tank so the intake and outflow are already stuck there, to get them out I would have to empty the tank completely and put the hole caps on, hence I'm going to run the 305 with the fx6
Also just got an email from warehouse aquatics with a 7.5% discount code of ANYTHING,
If your interested in buying anything the code is BIGDISCOUNT
www.warehouse-aquatics.co.uk
They are already amazingly cheap anyway and price match to any online store if you find it cheaper!

Love them!
