Berlin Skimmer

I've got a Berlin skimmer in my sump running a mag pump at the recommended spec (2000 lit p/h). Recently added it to the system but it is not performing too well. If I set it at flat out the cup fills with clear water. If I set it slower I get mess up the inside of the tube but the bubbles dont overflo the top. Do I need to inject more air by doing a mod on the feed line (add a venturi)?

Anyone else running one? Experiences please.

how long has your skimmer been running. I have found that it takes a few days 2-4 days from the skimmers to truely begin to function like they are suppose. i would find the lowest setting, then every two hours turn it up. when you find that setting to where you are creating dirty bubbles in the collection cup then you know you have it. you can also set it to the highest and turn it down every two hours...again till it reaches the bubble collection that you want.

do you have an airline that goes up the side of the skimmer. its been awhile since i have used a berlin let alone seen one.
