I bough a guppy back in January, she developed dropsy within 24 hours of me buying her. She managed to pop out a few fry before she died, and only one survived. That was my only experience with guppies. Needless to say I was not impressed.
Anyways, as she has matured I swear her spine is bent - not a lot, but just enough that I don't want to breed her (I was planning on making a guppy tank, but if my only raised-from-fry fish isn't quite right, I'm not so sure...

Any opinions... is her spine bent or am I just imagining it?

It does look a bit bent to me too. It's hard to tell if it was an environmental problem when she was growing or something genetic, so I wouldn't breed from her, if you can avoid it, just in case.

Often, not always, a bent spine like that reflects less than ideal water conditions while the fish is maturing. It can be quite subtle. Even if you do all of the expected water changes and such, the extremely high mineral content water that is seen in places like So Cal can still make a tank's water conditions less than ideal.
