Im in two minds weather to use the cabinet or build one. Or sump it either at the back or down the wall next to it at floor level then just box it in and paint to the wall colour. I think the later will be easiest.

Then a big drain inside the weir so i can get some good flow through the sump. Hang my 250W halide in the middle.

As i said to you BigC im thinking of one of those backgrounds.

Then im on the look out for two female flashers to make a trio

Hi Ben

Great to hear you now have your new tank, i am looking forward to seeing it take shape, you should start a new journal in the journal section, less chance of me missing anything , sorry to hear about your manderin, but i am still very tempted to get one, after all it sounds like a crab or something got hold of yours and you can't odd's that can you mate.

This tanks from my more usual fish shop and the other had sold out of osakas. Wasnt really considering one of those tbh. just think they look so cool

Is it being set up in a different spot or is it going in the same spot as your current one?

Same spot, thats going to be the annoying bit! Getting a water butt to store the water. The current displays going to be the new sump, so thats going to be awkward! Going to have to get the baffles and weir siliconed in asap, saturday afternoon then start filling sunday morning so the silicone is dry. I do have monday off work too if things take longer than i hope.

lol yeah thats going to be a real PITA! will be well worth it though. As mentioned earlier you can create some really amazing looking 'scapes in the corner tanks.

Got the tank, looks bigger now its in my house than it did before. Stand wouldnt fit through the door either
Didnt get too much done, collected some plumbing bits and new drill bit. Took much longer than i expected to get it all home, had to make two trips. Need to find a sheet of glass for a weir add the weir comb i got at the lfs.

Then i plan to leave all the silicone in the ytank to dry. Empty and shift the old one, do the plumbing and fill the display. Add everything. Then the old display can be set up as a sump later and put online a few days after.

Got a pic of the glass with a sofa for scale, will stick it on in a min

Thats the one. weighs a right ton. Glass is really thick. Was interestin trying to get through a door
