Hi, any tips for a beginner at shrimp keeping?!
I have kept fish for a long time, but i now have a microhabitat 8 (8 litre) nano tank.
I have black sand, java fern and java moss. I'm thinking to get a few cherry shrimp or crystal red shrimp.
My water from tap is PH 8 and hard, but I have an RO unit so my amazon tanks are 50/50 tap and RO to give PH of 7. So whichever PH required I can probably make.
* what is the best shrimp food?
* are they likely to (or their babies) get sucked into the filter in this habitat.
* do they prefer a type of wood? Mopani ok?
* what is the best PH?
* the nano heater is set at 25C always, is this ok?
* how many shrimp could i have in a 8 litre
* at the moment i have a baby apisto, i guess i'd have to take him out?
