well i still have just the two bosemani rainbows, put then the lfs finally got more about a month ago, unfortunately by the time we got there yesterday all but 2 were gone,and they are boy and girl. they are slightly smaller than mine (which are also boy and girl) so im wonderig if it would be ok to get them?

and maybe some chain swords?

what do you guys think? everyone in my tank is fine and dandy and the plants are doing ok.


heres the problem though, im going to georgia to look at houses on wed. and wont be back till sun., i will have a friend taking care of the dogs and bird and fish (though no food will be given to the fish), im thinking before i go put some meds in anyway and give a big meal and tell her to monitor them, the lfs wont get another batch for 6 months, is it worth it? they are both healthy and the tank there in has all healthy fish and plants, plus thevey been there for 1 month+.

what meds would you apply? i wouldnt chuck meds in just in case, you may return to a troublesome tank....

cant reserve them, they go too fast to be able to be reserved

and the my meds help with other things other than curing illness, so it can be added for safety measures.

I might go ahead and purchase the fish. I would feed them the day before I left ,and after they had eaten,I would perform a water change and then leave the fish without food until I returned. Fish can go up to a week without food without any harm.
I would not add medications to a aquarium without something specific to warrant doing so.
Some medications deplete oxygen levels,destroy beneficial bacteria,and stress otherwise healthy fish to the point that they DO become sick.
Best preventitive medication is.. Clean Water = Zero ammonia and nitrites and NitrAtes at 20ppm or lower.
