Bargin!

I normally have a look through the classifides to make sure i am not missing a bargin or two. Up popped 3 discus, 2 of which are a pair - pigeonbloods £50....FOR THE LOT!

So i got in touch with the guy who wanted them gone pronto! I figured there must be something wrong with them. But no, they are fine! He is just keen to get his tank empty to convert it.

BUT, i couldnt take them as my sponge filters in my breeding tanks are not mature yet. No problem, he would chuck in a couple other bits and bobs for £10 extra. While i was there, i saw some corys swimming about. He said he'd give me them too.

So,

For £60 i got

3 discus, 2 are a breeding pair. ( Cost £45 in the shops, these are slightly older, so say £150 as 2 are spawning?)
4 corys (£12)
3 albino brislenose plecs (about an inch in size, so £9?)
various plants (Lets say £10)
1 heater (£15)
2 air sponges (£15)
1 air pump (airvolution, so £25)
2 breeding cones (£20?)

So for £60 i think i got £250 (maybe) worth of stuff!!! I am really happy!

I then logged onto here, and Amy1994 sent me a message telling me there was an add for them in Aberdeen so i should check it out! haha. Good minds think alike!

I'll try get some pics up in a couple days.... but tomorrow i am driving 1.5 hours north to get some more fish! A load of corys for my show tank (at long last) a breeding pair of bristlenose and a load of shrimp!

Oh the grass is useless! haha. I just cant get that stuff to grow!! I now have my CO2 pumped up to try to avoid algae, i am dosing EI, so the only other thing i can do is get more light!!
