You all quit your bitching... it was minus forty C, with (and sometimes without) the wind chill here a week ago. Where my Dad used to work (mountainous terrain) minus 100 C with wind chill wasn't unheard of, and anecdotally it was once even colder than that.

That's what you get for livin in the arctic . My great uncle lives up in the Northwest Territories. Seen pics of where he lives and it's unbelievable. Looks like something out of north-pole research. Nobody has cars in the winter, just snowmobiles. Amazing.

Oh and Musho, as windy as Chicago gets, Buffalo NY actually has the highest average windspeed of any major US city, or so the weather channel tells me . Must be why they put up all those new windmills on the coast

Way OT now, but damn we got a lot of snow today. Well over a foot. Still snowing too, freaking lake.

We finally saw cold weather here...but um...snow isnt going to happen. Ever. How much would it cost to have a large box of snow shipped here? I just want enough to layer the front of my car so I can drive around for a while and get the "####, snow?" look.

Lol, would have to be air-freighted. Prolly cost you a few hundred bucks. We got plenty of snow here, good 2 feet in the last week at my house. Can't wait to go skiing on monday
