Possibly the worst week ever for fishkeeping.
1) My oldest and last black widow tetra started to look ill and eventually passed away (probably linked to 2). He was 6.5 years old and was one of the first fish in my tank. In fact after having 3 out of 5 live beyond 6 years, they have all gone in a few months. They just seemed to look old and then go.
2) My cory has been on his own for a while, but I never seem to find a healthy tank of cories. Anyway my LFS has what seemed like good ones so I bought him a friend. The next day when I came in from work he was covered in white spot. I fished him out and treated the tank for white spot. He died overnight. I took him back and they admitted having problems with tetras in the same tank. 7 days on and no further white spot, but still keeping my fingers crossed. When am I in the clear as white spot can stay around?
3) Another Neon tatra has passed away and now my water is a bit murky. Did a partial water change last night and a further one tonight.
