like i said is there any way to get rid of a Bacteria bloom faster. thanks andy

My bacterial bloom appeared over 48 hrs then cleared just as quickly. Quite worrying but fish unharmed.

carbon filter media should do the trick though itll clear up fast enough anyway

I'm experiencing a bacterial bloom at the moment. I've had it for about a week. Water changes didn't help. Would anyone know why bacterial blooms happen? Maybe it's something that could be avoided?

yeah i have had mine for about a week two i just want it to be gone and water changes did not help either

if the bacterial bloom is green then these things hav a major part to play in the bloom of algae:-

excess light - sunlight as daylight hours getting longer

too many fish - OR

too much waste............warmer weather too!!!

hth?!

Mine always seems to be a just white and cloudy. I've never had green. The only thing I can think of for my case is that I'm slightly overstocked. I removed some fish and it seems like the haze is slowly going away.
