Background

I am struggling to find a background for my 71cm high aquarium - does anyone know where I can find one please??

Black trash bags taped to the outside of the aquarium work wonders for me.

I tried a trashbag once, didn't really work for me. I use black posterboard, or I just paint the back black.

Could you elaborate? I don't understand. It looks good on my tank.

Clear back ground is the best IMO, that means no back ground, with a small bulb illuminated the back wall behind the tank.

go to an printing shop and print it in pic quality and the size you want.

cost you £5 for lot.

I don't like the idea of trash bags, personally I prefer no background but its a huge tank with too much hardware that needs hiding

If you want to hide hardware at the rear, use some Valliseneria nana

I thought it was ghetto at first, but if you do it correctly, then it looks fine.

I used an old sheet that I cut to size on my 20 gal tank one time and that worked. It also helps soak up water in the back so it won't hit the floor or cords.

Take a look in ebay under fish - there are plenty of both the paper stick on types or the more expensive 3D types in your tank size.

I've used plain white shower curtains on some of my tanks and it worked out well. They are inexpensive at the dollar store and large enough to cover several tanks. Some of my tanks have no backgrounds either, just the white wall behind them. Either way gives a nice airy, open effect that I've come to like.

It might be a bit of a project, but if the goal in this is to hide equipment, maybe invest in a sump?
