Back Again

Hi all, old and new.

Hadn't posted in a while (but come on here every now and then checking for advice etc).

Just wanted to say hi....and that I am still around and still keeping fish.

At one point I had six tanks on the go in the house, but have managed to whittle that down to only 3 now.....stocking hasn't changed (sig is updated) much, although we lost our Oscar (3 yrs old) a few weeks ago after a failed thermostat on the heater (temperature seemed to creep up......which I put down to me knocking the control during a water change) and then heater failed suddenly over a 3 day weekend we were away, filter died, ...Oscar got stressed and picked up an internal bug...wouldn't eat a thing and died within a few days (despite meds and water changes).

So...there you go....currently have a gap in my stocking on my largest tank (keeping an eye out for any "unwanted Oscars" near me).

Will post some pics (once I have taken some recent ones) of the tanks....and will post some pics of our most recent addition (rescue Blue-Clawed Crayfish).

....actually picked up a rescue one last night (was put on aquaristclassifieds as being beaten up by a larger tank mate).

Nice 5-6 inch Lutino Tiger.....bit tatty, and of unknown age....but already eating.

...only thing is, he is in with 6 Silver Dollars that are the same size (or bigger) than him..and he thinks he is one!
