Baby Plec Died Suddenly!

Well then don't feed this pleco and let him eat the algae. Thats what I did when I had my common pleco in my 10g and he ate it all with in a day or to.

ok i only put about 5 pelets in anyway and the guppies like having a nip of them in there diate (spelling) so they used to only get 1 each anyway. So i should leave the other pleco in the tank for now and feed him a bit everyday

I'd leave him in there and wouldn't feed him for a couple days and see if he starts eating the algae and when he does don't feed him or only give him half a wafer every couple days till he eats all the algae then once the algae is gone feed him 1 to 2 wafers everyother day.

ok thanx to everyone for helping me. I'll keep you updated on how he/she's doing tommorow

I just had a pleco die and tested the water--it was over the top on nitrates. I took some water down to the fish store and had them check it too( which most of them don't charge for) They found it over the top for nitrates too. They had me take out about half the water and come back tomorrow. I'd say check the chemistry first before you do anything. It could be the beginning of a problem that is pretty easily resolved in the end.
