Hello,
I recently have an infestation of small white worms in my mini aquarium. Some are attached against the glass inside the aquarium, whilst some are brownier and can wiggle about in the water! I've been doing some research about the species of worms, and some sources said that they might be nematode/planaria. I'm not sure though, but either way, I want to get rid of them.
Problem is, it is my cherry shrimp aquarium, and I've got loads of small cherry shrimps in it, so it's rather hard cleaning the gravel as some babies get sucked too! I was wondering if adding aquarium salt would be alright? Or would it kill the baby shrimps and the bacteria in the filter and cause even more problem?
P.S. I change my aquarium water every 2 days, and it's been set up for almost 6 weeks now. I've also used a mature filter media from my larger tank and never got a problem like this. I also add 2-3 micropellets to the shrimp tank every day.
Thanks!
