Well earlier me and vamp were just walking in the woods when we heard a little sound. We looked down to see what looked like a broken nest and a couple of baby blue tit's! There were only 2 alive the rest hadn't made it but we took them back to mine and got them warmed up. Tonight the have been squeaking and begging for food. I am currently feeding milk and bread mashed together. They appear to have got some of their strength back for now and need feeding very often.
I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow or a video of the feeding.

Update:
Very noisy little things woke me up at 6:30am this morn.
Should have been expecting it though. Me and my mum rescued a baby sparrow last year but it died the day we were going to release it. We had it all fed up and it was eating on it's own but it died. They have begged for food three times in the last 2 hours.
I know how to look after them but there only a couple of weeks old. Not really got much down let alone actual feathers. Any tips apart from:
-Keep them warm.
-Feed them regularly.
-Feed them soft foods.
-Make sure they can't escape(not that they would at this age)
-Make sure they're poopin' and make sure it looks normal.
-Make sure they can move their wings and legs.
Even the sparrow we rescued wasn't as young as these two.

Here's a small video of them feeding at 6:30am .
Sorry about the quality, they don't like feeding with the camera light on. So it's a little dark.

Alright only just been told that i can't feed it bread and milk because it will swell their stomachs!?!?
This is what we fed our baby sparrow and it lived till the day we were releasing it.
Can someone suggest a way to feed these 2 babies because i know they like to eat insects and fruit but i don't know how to feed it to them? Should i just put it in some warm water till the water has cooled down and the fruit/insects have sort of mixed in?

go to anyshop that sells stuff for reptiles and buy meal worms these are what you need

scot :)

do not feed them any bread liquids seeds nuts or fruit

Right meal worms. Anything else? They aren't old enough to eat whole meal worms yet though so what should i do to feed them to them?
Here's a pic of the strongest.
I called it squeak because it's the loudest aswell.

Just cut the worms up and feed them on the end of a pair of tweezers.

You can ring the RSPCA for advice, they'll be used to these sorts of situations

Ok thanks you guys. They are still doing well my mum is gonna get some mealworms today and i will go digging for worms.

dont feed them worms blue tits do not forage for them look at the beak it is not desgned for worm eating

regards scot :)

Quick google of Blue Tit diet:

Diet
They feed on small insects, spiders, fruits, seeds and nectar

Perhaps these items mulched up? However, I know nothing about baby birds, and to be honest humans eat all manner of things none of which you would give a baby. Best of luck with the spider thing

Good luck in caring for them :good:

Scared of spiders so mum might have to catch them for me.
I don't think these 2 will be able to be released into the wild when older because they have got used to humans and 1 has a broken leg. They will sit on my hand unlike the sparrow, which used to cower away from use. I think i may have accidently bonded with these 2 abit to much.

this may be hard for you to do but the one with t5he broken leg should be put to sleep by a vet or took to an animal hospital you cannot keep them nas pets it is illegal they need to have rings and you are not qualified to decide if they need life long care also the one that perches by its self will only need a few more days care from egg to fledge is about 14 days

regards scot :)

Both not doing to well all of a sudden. I fed them with crushed up meal worms and they are suddenly weak and not moving much. They keep asking for food and get it when needed but they are so weak not opening their eyes much or anything.
