my female seams to of got bullied last night

Also Y does my other female "flare" or "go nuts" (lol) at her relection???

i saw one of my young black widow's chasing her a bit yesterday so poss could be that
so far not seen her being chased today

She is most certainly being bullied, she's also quite stressed by the looks of things.

How many female bettas are in the tank? and how large is the tank?
I think in this case your widows are probably the bullies but having less than three female bettas in one tank usually doesn't work out because there arn't enough bettas to form a pecking order, so one gets bullied all the time.

I never keep any less than four females to one tank.

Also make sure you have alot of hides.

Your other girl flares at herself because she thinks it's another betta and she's asserting her dominance.

poor lady didnt make it put her in a tank on own thinking it would help did for a while but sadley she gave up

they say 3 females are safest but yours will probably be ok alone. BUT saying that most bullying goes on at night when the lights are out. probably the widows. I would take the other female out but that is just me all my bettas are in separate tanks even the girls.
