i made an awsome new discovery about black ghost knife fish!
along time ago (before zeke the 1st died and during the ick thing) i saw zeke getting mad at the catfish because he was in his territory and started snapping at him. GUESS WHAT I SAW. he opened his mouth as wide as possible and zekes lower jaw kinda like, um...how do u say this, oh like when i python eats something thhe lower jaw kinda streches thats what happened to zekes! it was so weird. but i think thats how thry can manage to eat something 3 inches when they are bigger.

They also do that with each other. I saw two of them(probably males) open their mouths very wide and lock jaws. Very scary and is the reason why they can inflict so much damage on each other.

Lots of fish do that, I've seen my cichlids' jaws do that before, pretty cool. Best one I've seen was the john dorys at the London aquarium. Those things have insane mouths.
