Awful!

I just emailed the seller...

Hi, i'm a fishkeeper and would just like to bring to your attention how overstocked that tank is. Most if not all of those fish will be suffering due to water quality and lack of space. If I were you i'd take them to a local aquatic shop as soon as possible as they will be in no fit condition to sell and the tank will prove to be a nightmare for your buyer. Your listing has caused uproar on a fishkeeping forum. Please see http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=270097

Yeah well good luck mate-if hes selling it he/shes not bothered anyhow.

OMFG!

How can people be so misinformed on ANY subject these days?

Surely anyone with a single ounce of common sense would realise that an 8" fish in an 18" tank is not good.

What a %*#!!!

Is that a Pictus catfish I see in one of the photos aswell? They grow HUUUUUUGEEEE! Jeez... poor fish. :o

perhaps thats why hes selling, as he realises they are getting to big/hard to keep healthy etc? i know its no excuse but at least selling them, the chances are they may go to a more knowledgable owner. they would be better selling the fish seperatly to the tank though

Ah well, they're still not suitable for that tank.

I got a response...

hello eboy. if you had bothered to ask me what size the fish are i would have told you they were all less than 2inches long and the baby convicts are less than 1.5cm long. if you still have any concerns about this maybe you could club together with all your friends and pay half each to buy them off me. by the way e-boy we have also got a 6ft x 2ft x 2.5ft tank with some fish in. would you like to comment on that as well?? we have also been keeping fish for over ten years and have many many many friends who actually OWN aquatics shops and have questioned our methods and decisions. GH125
