Ive got some pieces of java fern and anubias and im wondering how to attach it to something and what things i can use?
I have got the terracotta rings plants are sold in, and im assuming aquarium safe silicone would be a no no to stick them on.

i personally like to use rubber bands. they are safe and they will desolve and disapear (kinda) around when the plants have already attached themselves/ established themselves where you wnat them

Black sewing cotton for me (the toughened stuff lasts a bit longer) or invisible sewing thread (it's finer than fishing line) :D

Ok thanx, would it work on the terracotta rings?

personally I would think that supergluing a live plant would kill it. I like using sewing thread....it holds it firmly in place but does not cause damage to the plant, and it easily blends in once the plant grows

No, superglue doesn't kill a plant, nor does it polute the water, many aquascapers including myself have used techniques for ages.

learned something new then :good:

Lol ty people, i have got some aquarium safe silicone, would this work?
And how would i keep the plant hydrated while it sets?

no super glue is 100% safe, the toxins will not affect the fish, once it has set (which is instant) it cannot leach toxins, head over to the planted section, and even the marine section, lots of us use it to stick coral and plants to rock or wood.

Just make sure the superglue is cyanocrylate
