At A Loss As To What To Do!

OK. I'll reset my timer for 3.5hrs on, 2off 3.5hrs on.

Thing is (again) for a planted tank (esp with no CO2) it was suggested that I up my 15W light to a MINIMUM of 30W (i.e. for a planted tank, MINIMUM of 2W/Gal).

So I did and they were right (I think) my Red Rubin & Green Cabomba grew like wild fire (Then strangley all the Cabomba started dieing off and now very little is left).

I just know something definately wierd going on in my setup!!!!!

You could try checking the ingredients in the various fish medications in your lfs. Not sure if the chemist can help you out but no harm in asking ?

Sorry, but another stupid question.

If Maracyn is an antibiotic - that is I think therefore an antibacterial which is hence used to kill the BGA (which you say is a form?? of bacteria), then won't this ALSO kill the good Ammonia eating bacteria in my Blue filter!!!!!!!

If it does, then I can't use it, can I?
