Wow thats pretty cool! How do they know where the food is?
Most cave fish have developed their lateral line and sense of smell to replace their vision. They've lived in the dark for so long their eyes have de-evolved along with any pigment in the skin and scales.

Very cool fish :) also has a reputation of being hard to catch?

The Black & Decker workmate is used as a stand. I wasn't using it anymore for what is was meant for...

Wills has already mentioned how it works. It's not just food but also other fish or obstacles that they sense with their lateral line.

There's also a variety that does have eyes and full eye sight. But that one lives in open waters. It also carries the same scientific name as the blind version.
