:good: i go pick my arowana up 2day he is 5 inch great colour.as my other fish died as heater and filter got turned off
also on the look out for nice tiger shovelnose next again

you must have a big tank then i presume, these are my favourite fish i had a 2ft arowana which died but it was stunning and ive seen a tiger shovelnose in my local dobbies its about 8" and its only £21 i might get rid of some stock out of my big tank and get it soon lol

i got a juwel rio 400 got it cheap im running 2 rena xp3 and a uv costs fortune.my mate got 2 shovelnoses 1 at 20 inch and the other at 12 inch both awesome fish.as 4 ther fish at ur dobbies i think is good price i paid 15.00 for 1 that was only bout 4 inch but really nice markings

nice size tank mate, i really like the markings on the shovelnose and the one i have seen has really good colouration and strong markings i am very tempted lol

mate tiger shovelnoses get huge, the rio400 will not be able to house them comfortabally as an adult, sorry but i would look more for something like the lima shovelnose as they get to around 12-16inches which is more in your range, sorry to be blunt but we have a few tiger shovelnoses handed to the local aqaurium and they are around 3.5-4foot and still growing, my lfs are full of tigers and tiger/redtail catfish crosses...they sell for under 7pounds...shame as they should not even sell this fish..
