By the tiger barbs. Got three big bunches from planted tanks last week and they're practically all gone!

Still, at least they're leaving the amazon sword, anubias and java fern alone... Otherwise I'd have a very bare tank!

hmm okay this is interesting, i have green tiger barbs and they leave my vallis alone, altho when you add vallis into a new tank they will melt right back, almost to nothing, can you notice any new growth and are they getting chewed too?

if so there is not much you can do in my eyes, other than either take the barbs our or leave the vallis to get eaten or take  them out.

I have loads of vallis and 40 tiger barbs and they've never touched them or any plant. That is strange.
Il have to agree and say it must be melting!

Melting or dying. Sometimes vallis just die in tanks.

i dug up 90% of my tank yesterday and i have found some vallis and they are growing be it slowly, some have grown runners and some where eaten badly not sure if thats resent of from previous fish but i shall monitor mine now :D give it time i guess vallis are slow growers even in high tech tanks i guess
