hello everybody this is my first post and all i want to know is if my mollies are breeding. i have a black ballon molly and an orange safferon mollie in the tank obviously along with other species but the orange safferon mollie keeps following around the black ballon molly and the only way i could describe it is it's trying to stick is's head into her backside lol so are they breeding?

males have larger dorsal fins and the anal fin (the fin near the bum) is pointed.

It does sound like the beginning stages of the male trying to interact with the female before mating begins. Many livebearers do exhibit similar behavior and sniff about potential partners much like you might see a dog do.
