Hi all!

I found boiled some of my branches and twigs, I know I shouldn't but it's an emergency isn't it?, so I added some tannins which should help him a bit, but what is the problems here is that I found couple of maple or clan tree leaves on my parking where usually cars park (cars don't move there often around as much) and boiled them to use their tannins, but still haven't used the tannins yet and the leaves were partially covered with other leaves.

Do you think their tannins would be safe or not?

No point in risking the fish. Never collect leaves from parking lots, roadways, sidewalks, or anywhere near to these. Boiling might remove the oil/gas/chemicals but then it is i the water so that can't be used. TLeaves and branches should only be collected in forested areas well away from industry, or in your backyard unless you use pesticides, fertilizers, or anything similar.

That is sort of what I was thinking.

There is a possibility that the leaves/branches have gasoline or oil in them. It’s just not worth the risk.
