This is to be a planted discuss tank, at least 125 gallons (probbly at least 150).

Species I want to keep (please let me know if you foresee any problems):

Discus (main component) 8-10
Killifish 3?
Blue Rams 6
Cardinal Tetra At least 20
Pearl Gourami 3
Zebra Pleco 2
Clown Pleco 1
Bushynose Pleco 1
Otocinclus 10
Siamese Algae Eater 4
Giolden Algae Eater 2
Nerite Snails (will add calcium) 12 -20
Amano Chrimp 8
Cherry Shrimp 6
Freshwater Clams 20+
Variety of warmer water plants

Dont get to many algae eater's inc oto's and pleco's

These can easily migrate to grazing slime off the discus causing damage to the body.

Freshwater clams and shrimp..... Well discus want acidic soft water, this will kill the clams and shrimp, as they need hard water to build the shells.

I'll stick to the discus, rams, zebra's and loads of cardinals personaly

gouramis & discus generally dont mix

zeb's (if L046) should be in a species tank

shrimps will probably be on the discus menu once adult

dont know about the clams,,,

killifish might get eaten by adult discus.
The algae eating catfish will create a lot of mess and could encourage health issues for the discus. Fewer catfish will still keep the tank clean, but produce less gunk to encourage disease organisms.

I would drop the golden aglae eaters. They're not very good at algae eating, and have been known to attack other fish (discus like fish especially) as they grow.

The ottos may have trouble finding food. You have a lot of algae grazers (plecos, snails, shrimps, ottos, 4x SAEs), and ottos really won't eat anything else IME. I have a planted 75gal with 2 medium sized bristlenoses and an old otto with minimal algae growth.

Clams seem to have really poor survival rates. They're filter feeders and with that many, there isn't much food at all for all of them. Typically, aquariums have too few food items suspended in the water column for them to feed on.

With the snails really need calcium?
