I noticed that she's in the breeder net...that may just be the problem. Sometimes if they are stressed out they won't give birth and will keep holding onto the babies past the point when they are due, often killing their babies and sometimes themselves in the process...my rule of thumb is to not put the female in the breeder net until I see her actually in the process of birthing...I usually don't do it even then...I just try to scoop up as many babies as I can into the net (while I'm waiting for my new fry tank). My suggestion is to take her out of the net, at LEAST until you see her giving birth...unless you have an extra actual TANK that you can put her in.

i have another tank but didn't want to stress her out by moving her into it. i put her back into the main tank but she is being followed by mainly one of the other preggo fish =/ that is why i put her in there to begin with....is it normal or will she hurt the the heavily pregnant one?

Another tank is almost always less stressful than a net, especially if the same water she already is in is used to fill it and it has a cycled filter running in it.

How many males and females do you have? It is normal for females to interact together, although it is not good for a female if she is being harassed.

The other fish isn't biting, just following i think. And have 6 platies, 1 or 2 are males and the rest are females im prety sure. Than i have an angel fish and 2 sucker fish. All in a 90 litre tank

You don't know how to sex livebearers? Males have gonopodiums, females have anal fins. Go get a definite count, although the ratio you think it is is fine.

Actively following or passively? Is the female trying to get away?

On a side note, that tank is most definitely not big enough for an angel and probably not for the "sucker fish". What exactly is the "sucker fish"? A pleco?

yeah the female is trying to get away, and i do know how to sex them, its just hard when they are swimming around......

the sucker fish's aren't big or fancy, they are the small ones you get that are cheap.

It's probably best to separate her then, because if she is actively trying to get away, then the other fish is probably stressing her out.

Baby common plecos still grow into 2 ft monsters and are probably the cheapest plecos available.
